Nectarine | Peach Baby Puree
Living in the Pacific Northwest, I spend half the year waiting for summer and all the things that come along with it – sunny days at the lake, road trips to see friends all over the place, and summer treats, including nectarines and peaches. They always remind me of the peach cobbler my mom made every summer. I tend to lean towards nectarines over peaches. I personally don’t love the peach fuzz. And it turns out the fuzz is really the main difference between the two.
Not surprisingly, Hanky Pank loves nectarines. They’re great on their own and can be mixed in with oatmeal and yogurt. Besides just being delicious, nectarines and peaches are one of the “P” fruits that are great for helping to reduce constipation, similar to prunes and pears.
